David Kerr is a BAFTA-winning British director known for comedy across television, film, and commercials. He won the BAFTA for Best Comedy for *That Mitchell & Webb Look*, which produced the widely-memed "Are We The Baddies?" sketch. As lead director on *Fresh Meat* (co-written by *Succession* creator Jesse Armstrong), Kerr defined the show's style and cast, earning an RTS Award for Best Comedy. He directed all six episodes of *Inside No. 9*'s first series and helmed the RTS-winning *A Midsummer Night's Dream* with Russell T. Davies. His TV movie *Roald & Beatrix* won Best TV Movie at Banff. Kerr's 2018 feature debut *Johnny English Strikes Again* became the year's highest-grossing comedy internationally. His Netflix collaboration with Rowan Atkinson, *Man vs. Bee*, earned an Emmy nomination, and the follow-up *Man vs. Baby* (December 2025) became the most-watched series in the UK and globally upon release. His commercial work includes multiple Argos campaigns (AdWeek Ad of the Day for Suki Waterhouse spot), Lidl's "Story of Lidl Bear," Farrow & Ball (D&AD Wood Pencil), BBC TV Licensing (Silver Clio), and Spotify's US/global campaign. working with Hungry Man in the US, UK, and Brazil, Kerr is a DGA, Directors UK, and BAFTA member with British and Irish passports and a current US O-1 visa.
