Bio & background

Dante Ariola is a commercial director working with MJZ in the US and UK, with additional representation through TP Film in Germany. He won the Directors Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials and earned seven additional DGA nominations, along with two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Commercial. His career began in New York's West Village, where he created award-winning album artwork for Atlantic, Columbia, Elektra, Epic, Sony, and Warner labels, designing iconic logos for Cypress Hill, the Fugees, and Korn before directing music videos and transitioning to commercials. His automotive work spans Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, and Toyota, while his beverage clients include Jim Beam, Heineken, Stella Artois, and Michelob Ultra. He has directed multiple top-ranked Super Bowl commercials, including the 2023 Kia "Binky Dad" spot—the first Super Bowl ad ending on TikTok with alternative endings—and Mercedes-Benz "Soul" featuring Willem Dafoe. His Jim Beam "Parallels" spot won a D&AD Yellow Pencil for Cinematography plus three AICP Awards for Direction, Visual Style, and Cinematography. His Toyota "Brothers" for Super Bowl LVI told Paralympian Brian McKeever's story, while his Budget Rent-a-Car campaign won a Gold Lion at Cannes. He collaborates with cinematographers including Phillipe Le Sourd, Lol Crawley, and Kasper Tuxen, partnering frequently with VFX houses The Mill and Framestore.
