Daniele Anastasion is a writer and director whose documentary-rooted approach informs her commercial and branded storytelling. Her feature documentary The Redemption of General Butt Naked, following a Liberian warlord seeking forgiveness, won the Sundance Best Cinematography Award and earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination. The ESPN 30 for 30 short I Am Yup'ik received a Sundance Short Film Grand Jury Prize nomination. Anastasion rose from production coordinator to producer at National Geographic on the Emmy-nominated Hard Time series, then served as creative producer and writer on Oprah Winfrey's Belief, calling it her "short-form boot camp." Her first commercial roost came in 2016 at ContagiousLA after founder Natalie Sakai saw I Am Yup'ik at Sundance. Her branded work includes campaigns for Nike, Google, UPS, and Saucony, notably directing UPS Wishes Delivered, which won National Gold Addy Awards including Best in Show and was featured by Adweek as "some of the most engaging brand content of the year on social media." She also directed The Unsponsored series for Gemfields via Anomaly. Anastasion joined Knucklehead for U.S. and U.K. representation in April 2021. Her narrative feature The Scout was selected for the 2022 Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
