Bio & background

Damian Kulash is the frontman and lead singer of Grammy-winning rock band OK Go and a director working with Park Pictures for commercial work in US and UK markets. Over nearly three decades, OK Go has released five studio albums while pioneering viral video culture through elaborate one-shot music videos that now reside in MoMA's permanent collection. Kulash won Grammy Awards for Best Music Video in 2007 ("Here It Goes Again") and 2017 ("Upside Down & Inside Out"), with a 2025 nomination for "Love." His directorial work spans Super Bowl spots (Chevrolet's "Needing/Getting," 2012), brand collaborations with Morton Salt and ASUS, and the 2023 Apple feature film "The Beanie Bubble" (co-directed with Kristin Gore, starring Zach Galifianakis and Elizabeth Banks, produced by Imagine Entertainment). Known for highly technical productions requiring months or years of planning—including zero-gravity filming in Russia, massive Rube Goldberg machines, and 136-person crews—Kulash distinguishes between commercial assignments where he serves clients and OK Go video collaborations where the band retains creative control. He studied visual art at Brown University, grew up in Washington D.C.'s early-1990s punk scene, and has championed digital distribution through New York Times op-eds. Publishing is through Warner Chappell Music, distribution via Symphonic Distribution.
