Christian Loubek is a US commercial director with more than 25 years of experience, working with Bob Industries in the United States and Circle Productions in Canada. A Seattle native who began as a teenage set runner on the feature Promised Land, he advanced through technical and producing roles in independent film via Pravda before moving into advertising in the late 1990s. His breakout was an Eddie Bauer interactive CD-ROM of three interwoven narrative films he wrote, shot, and directed, which earned a Communication Arts Gold. Early Seattle work through Evolution Engine Films and Radisch Co included spots for Eddie Bauer, Microsoft, Mountainzone.com, Virginia Mason Medical Center, and the Miami Heat. He signed with HKM in 2000, spent roughly 16 years at Anonymous Content, and joined Bob Industries in October 2020. His portfolio includes global campaigns for Diet Coke, Nike, ESPN, Citibank, Cisco, Microsoft, Best Buy, Smirnoff, UPS, Kahlua, and automotive work for Audi, BMW, Fiat, Lexus, Porsche (including the 2016 Panamera InnoDrive film), Volvo, and Volkswagen. Agency partners have included Wieden+Kennedy, CP+B, Arnold Worldwide, Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Publicis, Ogilvy, BBDO, Droga5, and The Martin Agency. Additional credits include the HBO Six Feet Under opening titles (with Digital Kitchen) and an Autism Speaks video. He has shot in more than 18 countries, directed A-list actors, NBA players, and Olympic athletes, and worked from 12,000-foot mountaintops to scuba depths. In 2023–2024 he wrote and directed the short Belief, which won Best Short at Oak Park Black Film Festival.
