Chris Sargent is a Toronto-born commercial director based between Canada and California. He started as a visual effects supervisor at Toronto post house AXYZ around 2005 before directing and shooting commercials from 2007. Early credits include World Wildlife Fund's "Storms"/"Beautiful Day" (FCB Toronto), which earned Creativity Director to Watch attention, and co-directing Jaguar "CX-F." He received an Emmy for NHL's Winter Classic. After Park Pictures in the late 2000s, he joined Anonymous Content for U.S. representation in 2013 and Merchant for Canadian commercials in November 2022. High-profile work includes Budweiser Super Bowl films "Not Backing Down" (2016) and "Born the Hard Way" (2017), an immigrant origin story with over two billion online impressions that helped put Anonymous Content on Ad Age's Production Company A-List.
