Campbell Hooper is a New Zealand-born director represented globally by Exit Films, bringing a multi-disciplinary craft approach honed through education at Auckland's Elam School of Fine Arts and a seven-year partnership under the studio Special Problems. His commercial portfolio spans automotive clients including Lexus, Hyundai, Subaru, and Peugeot; retail and FMCG brands such as Woolworths, Bonds, KFC, and CommBank; technology companies HP and Samsung; and insurance providers Allianz and AMI. Hooper's recent work includes an ongoing collaboration with luxury jewellery brand Jessica McCormack, producing atmospheric campaigns featuring brand ambassador Zoë Kravitz, and a thought-provoking broadcast campaign for 1News/TVNZ. His hands-on process encompasses directing, photography, editing, grading, music composition, and sound design. During the Special Problems era, Hooper earned New Zealand's Music Video of the Year three times, a Gold Lion at Cannes in 2011, the 2012 New Zealand Music Award for Best Music Video, a 2016 UKMVA, and Best Short Film Script at the 2013 Rialto Channel NZ Film Awards. His short film 43,000 Feet was selected for Tribeca Film Festival and featured as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
