Cameron Dutra is a Los Angeles–area commercial and branded-content director based in Agoura Hills, represented in the US by Florence. Documented brand work includes Johnson & Johnson (“Senses”; also co-direction with Spencer Creigh on “Perception” for Everdream), Google Nest Home Hub, Away Travel, Silk, Target, Kodiak (“Feeding Epic Days & Wilder Lives”), SimpliSafe (“Director’s Cut”), Duke Health (“You’re Why”), and Teleflora. Florence frames his range from emotionally precise drama to surreal and playful comedy. He moved into directing from drawing, still photography, and high-school skate/surf filming, then CSULB and a camera-department internship on The Hangover Part III. A no-budget Foxygen video opened music-video representation and a full directing pivot; he still directs promos and, with the Social Studies collective, performance/doc hybrids, while maintaining a personal horror practice—his short Shiver played the festival circuit. In a 2025 Voyage LA interview he describes classic, restrained craft: clean composition, emotional honesty, and letting the idea set the tone rather than a single signature look. No major advertising-award wins (Cannes, Clio, D&AD, AICP, Super Bowl) are documented in available trade sources. Strong in natural lifestyle and slice-of-life / documentary-feel work with genuine performances, including real people and kids.
