Bryan Buckley is a two-time Academy Award–nominated director widely regarded as the "King of the Super Bowl" for directing over 70 Super Bowl commercials since 2000. He co-founded Hungry Man Productions in 1997, which won the Cannes Palme d'Or as top production company in 2004. His iconic "This is SportsCenter" campaign for ESPN, launched in 1999 and running 25+ years, was named best commercial campaign of the 1990s by The One Club. Buckley won the 1999 DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials for Monster.com "When I Grow Up," E*Trade "Broker," and Onhealth.com "Friends." His Super Bowl work includes Hyundai "Smaht Pahk" with John Krasinski and Chris Evans (ranked #2 on USA Today Ad Meter), BMW "Talkin' Like Walken" with Christopher Walken (most-liked 2024 Super Bowl ad per iSpot), and NFL "Run With It" with Diana Flores (2023 Sports Emmy winner). He won the 2024 Emmy for Best Commercial for Apple and over 60 Cannes Lions including two Grand Prix. His activism work "The Lost Class" for Change the Ref won four Grand CLIOs, two D&AD Black Pencils, and a Titanium Lion. His Oscar-nominated short films "ASAD" (2013) and "SARIA" (2019) screened at over 50 festivals. Named Commercial Director of the Decade by Adweek (2010) and world's most awarded commercial director by The One Show and D&AD (2022).
