Bruno Bossi is a Cape Town-based commercial director and founding partner of Carbon Films, recognized for his surreal, emotionally grounded comedy and cinematic storytelling. Born in Angola to a Portuguese father and Italian mother, Bossi's multicultural upbringing informs work that traverses markets seamlessly. He began as an award-winning photographer across South Africa and Europe before transitioning to directing. In 2025, his KFC Thailand campaign 'Let There Be Cake' won Gold at Cannes Lions, Silver Pencil for Direction at The One Show, and Direction awards at Ciclope Asia and Berlin, while ranking first in Ad of the Year. The spot trended #2 globally and drove record app downloads for KFC Thailand. Bossi's client roster includes extensive KFC Thailand work, Mercedes-Benz Attention Assist, RONA, Nissan Qashqai for South Africa and Australia, Heineken, Richelieu, Bwin, City of Cape Town, Western Cape Government, VW Touareg, and BobTail. His City of Cape Town PSA 'Boys Do What Men Teach Them' earned a Direction Merit at The One Show. In early 2026, Bossi expanded representation internationally, joining Collider in Australia, Outsider in UK and Amsterdam, and WANDA Productions in France.
