Brian Aldrich is a comedy-specialist commercial director working with Furlined in the United States and TPF in Germany. Raised in Boston's comedy club scene, he developed a deep understanding of standup, sketch, and improv that informs his character-driven directorial approach. Before directing, Aldrich worked as an art director and creative at Della Femina/L.A., experience that shaped his visual instincts while centering his work on performance over technical flourish. He gained early industry attention in 2002 while at Coppos Films with his Wrigley's Extra gum spot "Seatmates," which showcased his talent for assembling oddball ensemble casts and improvising on set. Over two decades, Aldrich has built a diverse client roster including Subaru, Walmart, Telstra, NAB, Citroen, Birds Eye, Cox Communications, Iams, Blue Cross, and Melbourne Comedy Festival. His work demonstrates range across automotive, retail, telecommunications, financial services, CPG, and cultural institutions while maintaining consistent comedic sensibility. As he told Ad Age, "I spend more time with my characters. When you do that, the shot is always going to be interesting because the takeaway is what the character did, not necessarily the camera angle or color. You remember people." Recent broadcast tracking shows over 2,300 airings for his Subaru and Walmart spots in a 30-day period, demonstrating ongoing commercial viability.
