Bio & background

Beth Sacca is a New York-based director and photographer known for deadpan humor, meticulous visual compositions, and character-driven storytelling that transforms everyday moments into cinematic narratives. She began as a photo editor at Cosmopolitan before shooting New York Magazine's award-winning cover 'The Pleasures of Outdoor Dining,' which led to her role as photo editor at New York Magazine. Her photographic work has earned Cover of the Year at the American Society of Magazine Editors Awards and a Gold Cube from the Art Directors Club, with clients including The New Yorker, GQ, Bloomberg Businessweek, Vogue Italia, The Wall Street Journal, and Teen Vogue. Her transition to filmmaking earned recognition with her 2025 short film 'Heat Wave' receiving Silver at The 1.4 Awards. Her ongoing photographic and motion series 'After Hours' explores isolation, routine, and emotional detachment with signature understated comedy. In 2024, she joined MindsEye's EyeCandy roster for UK representation, and in 2026 signed to Riff Raff Films' Nursery of Evil roster for global representation. She frequently collaborates with cinematographer Thomas Marchese and producer Ching-Him Ng. Her approach emphasizes static or gently unfolding shots that allow viewers to experience moments as they unfold naturally, finding absurdity and quiet heaviness in ordinary life.
