Bio & background

Ben Quinn is a performance-driven commercial director working with SuperPrime Films in the US, UK, and France, with additional representation through Birth UK/France and Exit Films in Australasia. His career began building sets for Australian soap opera 'Home and Away' before transitioning to the BBC's documentary department in the 1990s, working on programs including 'Horizon' and 'The Human Body.' This documentary foundation shaped his directorial philosophy, inherited from mentor Walter Campbell: 'Cut the Bullshit. Don't even do it if people won't believe it.' Quinn's commercial work spans Nike, Chevrolet, Samsung, Panera, PNC Bank, and Visit California, partnering with agencies including Anomaly, Deutsch, R/GA, Leo Burnett, and 72andSunny. His 2017 film for Dick's Sporting Goods won an AICP and Clio. He directed humanitarian campaigns for The Elders (2008, drawing a standing ovation from Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, and Jimmy Carter) and the UK government's COI recruiting social workers. Quinn's 2017 short film 'I Missed my Mother's Funeral,' starring Brian Cox and shot by Barry Ackroyd, was BAFTA-shortlisted. His 2026 Super Bowl work includes spots for Universal Orlando Resort and the NFL, both produced through SuperPrime.
