Arno Salters is a Franco-British commercial director specializing in offbeat humor and meticulously choreographed in-camera set pieces. Raised between Paris and London, he studied Russian and Political Theory at the London School of Economics, where he directed plays and designed sets, before turning to filmmaking. Early music videos—including a General Elektriks piece featured on YouTube’s curated homepage and promos for Imogen Heap—earned Directors to Watch notices from Shots, Creativity, and BoardsMag. Commercial clients include Playstation, Cadbury’s, Diesel, Samsung, Target, Ebay, and Barclays. Caviar signed him globally in September 2014; he remains on Caviar’s Brussels branded-content roster and is also presented by Partners Film. Signature spots include Clayton Homes “Prefabulous” (TechnoDolly practical choreography, Artjail VFX), Sleeman “I Feel Crafty,” Chobani “Satisfaction Contraption,” Playstation “Vita,” Sherwin Williams “The Dance,” plus work for McDonald’s, Rakuten, TD, Domino’s, Lipton, and Emma/REWE. Samsung spots came through Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam. His craft centers on motion-control multi-pass shooting (including 43 Milo passes on General Elektriks “Different Blue”), performer–camera–set choreography, and practical magic-trick gags. He has been developing a high-concept comedy feature set in Paris with Caviar and Beluga Tree.
