Anna Snowball is a UK documentary filmmaker and commercial director working with Fresh Film. Named Screen International Star of Tomorrow 2025, she specializes in character-driven stories about outsiders and underdogs. Her documentary short *Iranian Yellow Pages* (2024) won the Netflix Documentary Talent Fund, earned Grierson and Critics' Circle nominations, and screened at BFI London, Big Sky, and AFI Fest. She produced *A Horse Has More Blood Than A Human* (2020), which won the Camerimage Golden Frog. Snowball directed *Spring Fever* (2019), *#TradWives* (2018, Iris Prize nominee), and *Cambodia Calling* (2015, Grierson Student Award shortlist). Her films have aired on BBC One, Channel 4, CNN, Arte, and Netflix, reaching 27 million views online. She integrates mixed-media collage and animation into observational documentary, having worked with animator Francesca Cattaneo. Snowball founded Snow Films in 2016 and serves as visiting tutor at the NFTS Directing Documentary MA. In commercials, she has directed for Fairy, Red Bull, Essity, British Red Cross, and Jigsaw. She is developing her first feature documentary, *Inside is Chaos*, supported by First Hand Films and BFI Network@LFF.
