Adam Stevens is a commercial director working with Good Oil in Australia and New Zealand, known for crafting cinematic automotive and beer campaigns that have defined Australasian advertising culture. He co-founded production company Robber's Dog in 2006 before joining Good Oil's Auckland office in 2018. Stevens directed the iconic 1994 L&P commercial "World Famous in New Zealand" and Steinlager's "Born To Defy" campaign celebrating free-diver William Trubridge. His automotive work includes Toyota's long-running "Unbreakable" HiLux franchise—a 90-second spot exploring "the bromance between man and metal"—plus campaigns for Volkswagen Amarok, Ford Ranger, and GWM. His AAMI character-driven comedy spots "Nan Cave" and "Woop Woop" showcase range beyond rugged automotive storytelling. Stevens has earned recognition at AWARD, AXIS, LIAs, Ciclope Festival, New York Festivals, and Cannes Lions. Recent work includes BCF and GWM campaigns. He maintains a parallel photography practice through Stills, based in North Vancouver, creating what he describes as "thoughtful, story-led visuals rooted in movement, nature, and human connection."
