Adam Brodie and Dave Derewlany, working professionally as Adam & Dave, are Canadian comedy directors working with Arts & Sciences in the US and UK since 2012, and by The Salmon—a production company they co-founded in September 2022—in Canada. The duo met at film school in Toronto and launched their career at the 2002 Toronto International Film Festival with their short film "Heatscore." Both performed sketch comedy and stand-up before transitioning to directing. Their commercial work has earned recognition at Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, and the AICP Awards for brands including Pizza Hut, Zocdoc, Dr. Pepper, MTN DEW, e.l.f. Cosmetics, and TK Maxx. They describe themselves as "dialogue directors" specializing in surreal, exaggerated comedy in "Short, Medium and Large sizes." In television, they won a Gemini Award for "Morgan Water's Show" (CBC), wrote and directed seasons of "Funny As Hell" (HBO Canada) and "Scare Tactics" (SyFy/MTV), and received a 2009 Canadian Comedy Award for directing "The Jon Dore Television Show." Most recently, they created the six-episode CBC series "Humour Resources" (2021), starring Sarah Silverman, Eric Andre, Reggie Watts, and Nikki Glaser, filmed remotely during the COVID pandemic.
